School Governors
The 12 members of the school's governing body are made up of elected parent and staff representatives, Local Authority councillors and coopted representatives from the local community who meet regularly to discuss and monitor the work of the school.
The full governing body has four main committees that look at the following key areas:
Finance
Premises
Personnel
School Development
The School Development Committee is responsible for gathering information about the school and its performance, consulting with all members of the school community and planning the School Development Plan. This document contains Action Plans which identify ways that the school can improve and/or respond to education initiatives.
In 2010-2011, the key Action Plans are related to the following areas:
School Growth
Maintaining high standards in all areas of the curriculum
Curriculum developments in Literacy and Numeracy
Developing the creative curriculum.
