Reception

Welcome to Reception

Class teachers this year are:

Miss Hadall

Mrs Bate

Our topics allow for learning across all areas of the Reception Curriculum to be delivered in a creative and engaging manner and we are sure the children will be enthused by the opportunities provided. The  link to these topics is below.

As well as daily outdoor sessions, children will have weekly PE lessons on a Wednesday (outdoors if weather permits) with Mr Taylor. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school at all times and remember to name each item of clothing. Please also ensure that your child brings a named water bottle into school every morning so that they have ready access to clean drinking water. A free healthy snack and milk will be provided throughout the day and details of the lunchtime menus, and PE kit requirements, are available for viewing on the school website.

Once the children are settled and routines are established we will begin to provide your child with homework tasks which will support learning that takes place in school. Reading books will be sent home along with a reading record that provides useful information for parents and allows a regular home/school dialogue.

What do I do if I have a concern?

If you have any concerns about your child, please first speak to the class teacher.
