Lunchtimes
Happy Lunchtimes
Lunchtimes provide rich opportunity for children to develop their social skills, improve their physical health and to positively affect their emotional health and well-being. During this precious time children eat, let off steam, learn to play co-operatively, and develop vital social skills.
Our lunchtime team, led by Mrs Moulson, work hard to foster a happy, safe lunchtime culture in both the dining area and the playground
School Meals - Healthy Eating Standards
Food served in schools and academies in England must meet the school food standards so that children have healthy, balanced diets. The school food standards apply to all maintained schools, and academies that were founded before 2010 and after June 2014. They must provide:
- high-quality meat, poultry or oily fish
- fruit and vegetables
There can’t be:
- drinks with added sugar, crisps, chocolate or sweets in school meals and vending machines
You can read more about school food standards on the School Food Plan website by following the link below.
