Admissions
Making the decision of where your child goes to school is of utmost importance. We believe that the best way to really get to know a school is to visit it. We welcome parent visits to Bollin as it gives you a chance to see a 'working school'. The visit will take you around the building and facilities, see children at work and play and give you a chance to ask questions throughout the visit.
If you would like to visit Bollin, please contact the office :

Admission into Reception
Our Published Admissions Number (PAN) is 60.
For details of how places are allocated, please see Bollin Admission Arrangements (attached). For details of our Catchment Area, please see the Bollin Catchment Area (attached below).
Bollin Primary School is an Academy Primary School. Inspiring Learners Multi-Academy Trust is the admissions authority for the school. However, the Trust have determined that Bollin’s oversubscription criteria for 2025 admissions will mirror those determined by Trafford Local Authority.
Bollin Primary School is responsible for all its own admissions although the co-ordination of admissions arrangements is undertaken by Trafford Local Authority. All applications for Reception Class places must be made via the Admissions Team at Trafford.

The closing date for applications for admission in the academic year 2025 is 15 January 2025. The local authority will inform you of the decision in April when they allocate all school places.
Â
Starting School
Once you have been allocated a place at our school you will be invited to attend a parents' information evening (new Reception and Nursery parents) where you will meet the classteacher, have a tour of the school and go through administrative procedures.
At the welcome meeting, all aspects of school life will be explained and a number of forms will be issued for completion, to return to the school office.
Â
Waiting Lists
Admission authorities must maintain a clear, fair and objective waiting list for at least the first term of the academic year of admission.
A waiting list for our school is held by Trafford Admissions and is run throughout the year for every year group. Each added child will require the list to be ranked again in line with the published oversubscription criteria.
Â
Nursery Admissions
Children join our Nursery class in the September following their 3rd Birthday although applications regarding places for the January and April intakes will be considered.
We offer flexible provision either full time or part time depending on your requirements.
For full details of the application process, please contact Mrs Littlewood in the school office.
Please note that a place in Nursery Class does not guarantee a place in Reception Class – all parents must still apply for a place in Reception class which will be allocated in accordance with Trafford’s Admissions Criteria.
Â
In-Year Transfers
