About the Governing Body

Welcome to the section of the website where you can find out more about the school’s local governing body, and the work that we do.
Our main role is to support the Executive Headteacher, Head of School and the staff – the phrase often used to describe this role is a 'critical friend’. We help them to set and reach targets and to strive for excellence across the whole spectrum of school life. We also work closely with the Trust Board, working together to secure the very best outcomes for the children at our school.
Our legal responsibilities include:-

setting strategic direction, policies and objectives

approving the school budget

reviewing progress against the school's budget and objectives

appointing, challenging and supporting the school senior leadership

Are you passionate about making a difference for children and young people?
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Co-opted Governor to join our Governing Board. This voluntary role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute your skills, experience and perspective to support the strategic leadership and continued success of our school. We welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds and professions who share our commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for every child. No previous governance experience is required, as training and support will be provided.
